Typical Applications of Titeflex Automotive Hose of PTFE

Fuel Systems
The PTFE liner reduces hydrocarbon permeation while the stainless steel braid provides crash resistance.
The PTFE liner resists breakdown from biodiesel and alcohol-blended fuels.

Alternative Fuel Systems
Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) high-pressure (up to 3,600 psi operating) lines from the tank to the regulator and low-pressure return lines. The hose is also compatible with propane fuel.

Brake Systems
Anti-Lock Brake Systems (ABS), Electronic Stability Programmes (ESP), and ride control systems utilize the flexibility of Hose of PTFE at vehicle assembly to minimize damage to the brake line bundle. Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) from operation of the systems is dampened due to the use of Hose of PTFE.

Turbo
Hose of PTFE can withstand the elevated oil temperatures generated by turbo applications.

Transmission Oil Cooler (TOC)
Hose of PTFE can withstand the elevated oil temperatures generated by TOC applications.

Hydraulic Clutch
The non-aging and oil resistance properties of Hose of PTFE provide longer service life than conventional rubber hoses.

Air Conditioning
Titeflex "ZE" Hose of PTFE, with a metal barrier layer, exceeds the effusion standards for SAE J2064.
